Welcome

Prof. Dr. Annette KuhnWhen I retired from the University of Bonn 10 years ago I, together with others sharing similar interests, founded the association ‚House of Women's History' to promote gender democratic historical awareness (Verein Haus der FrauenGeschichte (HdFG) zur Förderung des geschlechterdemokratischen historischen Bewusstseins e.V.). Through publications, exhibitions and international events this association has continued my scientific work with the goal of making women's history visible through seven historical ‚rooms' (time periods).

My vision is to continue this work and build a real house of women's history.

For this reason I created the ANNETTE KUHN FOUNDATION.

In memory of my mother, Käthe Kuhn, née Lewy, the foundation acts on the conviction that knowledge of the history of women is fundamental to a progressive politics of fairness and reconciliation among all peoples and cultures.

Women, men, and societal institutions are cordially invited to contribute to the foundation and promote its goals.

In appreciation of your interest and support,

Annette Kuhn
